Library of Virginia Presents: Stories of the Revolution as Experienced in our Community

May 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Join us for stories featuring firsthand accounts of the Revolutionary era from Surry County and its surrounding area–based on documents found at the Library of Virginia, presented by Eric D. M. Johnson, MA, MSIS, MS.

Some of the documents from the area will touch on religious freedom, folks who are hoping for compensation for supplying materials to the American army during the Revolution, and even some tobacco-related requests. He’ll have some interesting local stories to tell! Hope you can join us!
